I am a freelance Textile Artist, creating recycled and hand embroidered Art dolls, fabric jewellery and artwork. I combine a love for collecting old clothing, found embroidery, buttons, buckles and wooden beads, with an extensive range of hand embroidery and fabric manipulation techniques to create quirky lovable creatures that are inspired by Folk Art, African paintings and Tribal costume. Each art doll has it’s own personality, name and story as it waits to be adopted.

I also create a range of tote bags/ shopping bags and fabric jewellery using lots of hand embroidery, re-using old fabrics and clothes. Textures and patterns in stitch invite the viewer to touch and engage in a collection of work that celebrates clutter, colour and details. I hope to inspire others into exploring embroidery and recycling unwanted fabrics.

I am available for exhibitions, installations, commissions and collaborations.
