A project based on my diaries and sketchbooks as I travelled through France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria and Germany in 2007. I wanted to create a large working experiment/sample that could be forever added to. A visual diary of memories, thoughts and found pattern. Why create lots of little samples that will never be used or seen? Why not create one large travel sample/blanket and build up on it forever? Textures, colours and techniques can be viewed side-by-side and the result is an exciting, inspiring and much-loved piece of work that you will treasure and can continue to work on for a long time…
